 Here is the article.

Patrick Paul "Pat" Gelsinger has served as CEO of VMware since September 2012.[1] Prior to becoming CEO of VMware he was President and Chief Operating Officer, EMC Information Infrastructure Products at EMC. Before joining EMC, he was the first Chief Technology Officer of Intel Corporation and Senior Vice-president and General Manager of the Digital Enterprise Group at Intel.

As CTO of Intel he also launched the conference Intel Developer Forum as a counterpart to Microsoft's WinHEC.

Gelsinger has written Balancing Your Family, Faith, & Work and has co-written Programming the 80386.

In September 2009, Pat Gelsinger left Intel to join EMC.[2]

Gelsinger is the Chairman of the Board at a group called Transforming the Bay with Christ. This coalition of business leaders, venture capitalists, non-profit leaders and pastors aims to convert one million people over the next decade.[3]

In late 2012 some industry analysts named Gelsinger as a possible successor to Steve Ballmer as the CEO of Microsoft.[4][5][6]

Intel announced the appointment of Pat Gelsinger as their new CEO on January 13, 2021.[7]
