Westwood Global Energy Group expects Saudi Aramco to issue a total of 31 rig contracts as the company seeks to double its active jackup fleet by the end of 2024.

LONDON — Westwood Global Energy Group expects Saudi Aramco to issue a total of 31 rig contracts as the company seeks to double its active jackup fleet by the end of 2024.

Most of the awards will be for rigs that have been either out of service for over a year or stranded (newbuilds), according to Terry Childs, head of Westwood’s RigLogix division.

Many of the idle jackups were inactive due to falling rig demand in previous years.

Since March this year, Aramco has awarded 26 new jackup contracts, and Westwood expects a further five to follow in the next month. All range in duration from three to five years with extension options.

Aramco will then have 78 jackups under contract and will likely tender for another 10. The company’s reported target is to have 90 jackups in service by the end of 2024.

Five of the 31 rigs contracted were stranded newbuilds that have either been purchased or bareboat chartered from their construction yards.

Advanced Energy Services (ADES) will provide 17 of the rigs following a program of acquisition, and it will now manage 32 active jackups in total, putting it ahead of Shelf Drilling, Borr Drilling and Valaris. ADES has acquired further rigs for deployment in Qatar and India.

Media giant Warner Brothers Discovery is now the third-largest holding in Burry’s portfolio. He added 750,000 shares in the first quarter.

The merger of Discovery and Warner Media has created a global content juggernaut. This conglomerate holds rights to iconic characters including Batman, sports channels in Europe, HBO, and CNN.

The stock is down about 27% because of concerns about debt and the competitive landscape for online streaming. However, the company expects to generate $3.65 in free cash flow per share by next year, which would imply a 20% FCF yield at the current market value.

This could be why Burry made such a big bet on it.

I did some research about SABRE. There are total around 800 employees in Texas headquarters, 300 in India, 300 in Europe countries; And SABRE is also cutting budget and in 2021 SABRE cut office space, two -> one building office. One senior manager left SABRE to join AMAZON as a manager, one senior architect joined Amazon Vancouver. Anyway, the company tech leadership is no problem.

Everything is normal about SABRE. I chose good tech company, which can survive, grow through pandemic, with vaccine.

Also since I Hold so many shares, it is hard to resist tempation to do day trade. I chose no to day trade. I did my case study about Nov. 2021 oil stocks, 5000 dollars GTE, I chose OXY, MRO, CVE, APA, and RIG to track growth together, diversification is definitely good idea. OXY over 100% gain, GTE over 100% gain, RIG only 10% gain, MRO 80%, APA 58%

About The Product

The product is the state-of-the-art Inventory Management and availability processing solution for airlines using a high performance, scalable and cloud enabled open systems architecture to provide optimal management of seats while increasing revenues through enabling revenue optimizations, sophisticated rules engine, point-of-sale control, dynamic availability, dynamic pricing.

The Technical stack of the product Spans from High-performance/Low Latency transactional based product in C++/Linux environment as well as Java/Spring Boot/Linux environment to HTML5/React.Js/Redux based web UI.

The Product processes over 7 Billion transactions a day, with peak volumes reaching over 1000 updates/second and over 100K transactions/second, with an average response time of 10 ms. In addition, the product supports over 20 interfaces to other products and supports web services.

About The Position

Senior Principal Software Architect position is a unique opportunity to take a strong technical leadership role in providing architectural guidance to the product and ensuring stability, scalability, and performance, as well as transforming, a critical and operationally complex high-performance product that also interacts with several of mission critical products in sabre. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in product technology transformation and product evolution.

In this role you will :

• Provide Architectural Guidance for the product.
• Evaluate the application development and operations to ensure application is run efficiently.
• Set coding standards, review development, and provide guidance to development team.
• Develop applications, primarily in C++/Java, to ensure performance and stability needs are met.
