Marvell stock flirts with $300 barrier after investor-day guidance boost
Marvell Technology (NASDAQ:
MRVL gapped up Tuesday after the semiconductor company raised its revenue guidance at its investor day, driving the stock into a strong technical retest of key resistance.
Shares were up roughly 7% at press time, changing hands near $290 after briefly testing psychological resistance at $300 earlier in the session. A clean breakout above $300 would clear the path toward the next primary target around $318, where the stock established a double top during its peak summer rally.
Technical indicators underscore strong buying momentum behind the move. The relative strength index is sitting near 70 at the threshold of overbought territory, while the moving average convergence divergence, or MACD, maintains a clear bullish crossover with expanding positive histogram bars.
MRVL remains positioned well above its primary trendlines, comfortably outpacing its 50-day (blue trendline), 100-day (green), and 200-day (red) moving averages. Furthermore, the 50-day moving average is nearing a bullish crossover back above the 100-day moving average, pointing toward accelerating medium-term structural support.
