A new immigrant story

May 15, 2019

Introduction

It is the day my nephew landed in Canada as a new immigrant in Canada. He took the air Canada flight from Shanghai to Vancouver. I went to the airport at 11:40 PM, and waited three hours, he came out and I met him.

A new immigrant story

I have to take my nephew to the daily rental place since I do not own a place in the city of Vancouver. My nephew was so excited but I could not tell. This is his first international flight.

Now I am not lonely Canadian any more. I have a nephew who is also Canada permanent resident. I landed in Canada in April 16, 2010. My nephew landed in May 15, 2019. In 2010 I was 44 years old. Today my nephew is 25 years old.

A parking receipt

I like to document the receipt and remember the story of me as a Canadian citizen, work hard to solve my own problem. I welcome my nephew as a new immigrant, and promise his parents to treat him nicely and help him if I can.

Being frugal

I talked to my roommate Angie, and she asked me where your nephew is. I said that he lives in a motel now. I talked about expensive of parking in airport, she told me that I should wait outside the airport, grocery store or somewhere. Free parking and wait.

I like the idea.

My nephew got immigration visa from Beijng office

April 21, 2019

Introduction

It is a long journey and I like to share a good news. My nephew got a Canada immigration visa which expires May 16, 2019. He will land Canada before that. I will take a few days off to help him settle down in the city of Vancouver.

Lonely Canadian sponsership

It is such great experience to learn how to help a young man to build a beautiful successful life in Canada.

I still remembered the day I went back in 2018, and I saw him to work hard to prepare the admission test for city government job in Yichun. I wondered how I can help this young man grow up and get best education in Canada.

He put his family's expensive car key next to him less than 1 foot away. He needs to learn how to use his parent's asset to get him educated with best English, best business education by self-learning, and also best computer science education in Canada. I am the coach and I will make that happen.

I did write the post about the dispute of the home. I paid all the cost and I learned from my experience that I used to have such economy power if I can learn how to invest those net income $100,000 us dollars back from 1999 to 2001.

Here is the immigration visa with removed confidential information. I need to figure out what FPC stands for.

Case study: over 4,000 Canadian dollar sponsor application project

Dec. 16, 2018

Introduction

It is time for me to review how I am as a project manager. I just order a $650 us dollars DNA test using a lab six minutes drive away from my home less than one week ago. I have to do a case study how I manage the project and cut down the cost.

Case study

What is my mistakes?

What I can do to make myself more responsible?

What are most challenging tasks for me in the process?

I will write down more later.

Being financial smart - my sponsor application project

Dec. 15, 2018

Introduction

It is my personal finance research and I like to find all problems I have. In order to prepare myself to be a good project manager, and learn people skills, I have to work on some basics, write down my problems at the end of 2018.

Case study

I worked on the project related to sponsor application to Canadian permanent residentship. I am the aunt but I have to learn how to work with the relatives and learn how to do it in the advance.

This year I paid $650 DNA test, and I paid principal applicant $490 landing fee, and I paid extra $600 dollars tax in order to be financial supporter. I start to audit those big expenses, since I do not purchase any clothing besides food in 2018. I have to give myself an explanation why I made mistakes to end up pay other person's bill.

I like to come out the ideas how to start a project. One idea is to ask relatives to deposit all expenses to my account before I start to work on the project in 2016 October. If they choose not to pay in advance, then I should not start the project at all.

It took me over hundreds of hours to study and all kinds of research, and then I ended up investing over thousands of expenses to the project. Every time I like to communicate with the principal applicant, he even does not listen anything. The whole process is a big alarm for me to be a project manager, I have to learn how to be proactive, and ask deposit in front. I have to learn how to manage a young person and his relatives.

If I cannot control the money in the project, I can not control the project at all. All I do is to work hard on my side, and pay other person's expenses, and leave the principle applicant and relatives to waste money and time on other things.

Coolest aunt this August

July 26, 2018

Introduction

It is time for me to review what I have done as a sponsor to support an immigration case. Am I coolest aunt this August 2018?

Recently I worked on the immigration paper, I had chance to review my paper work and provided my late mother's old passport page copy and her visa to United States in 2001. I like to show to immigration officer that I cherished the relationship with my mom and I had real life experience with my mom and my siblings.

Coolest aunt this August

I try to be the coolest aunt this August 2018.

I know that I am very independent, have good critical thinking skills.

I did my sponsor application project by myself starting from 2016 October, and it took me more than 12 months until the paper work was accepted in October 2017. My young sister kept telling me to hire a professional to help, but I just said that I solved problems just by failing again and again.

Am I coolest aunt this August?

No law is well-written and it should be case by case. In order to save the time and cost, only way I can survive to support an immigration case is to do it by myself. Find ways to show the genuine relationship with my late mom and her grow-up children.
