It is easy for me to write down the steps and then I can explain more in certain steps.
- First step, open given ledger statements, and then copy and paste the invoice and payment for each unit using notepad, and create a text file.
- For example, based on step 1, create a text file called
- Next step is to import the data into Excel using the following steps, copied screen:
- Open blank Excel sheet, and then
Import unit 25 invoice and payment txt file created by notepad, the following are two steps to import.
And then work on Excel -> insert table, create pivot table to do analysis.
My tips are to copy the payment to a new column, and then Excel sheet will help me to generate those numbers.
