Southern Copper (NYSE:SCCO) has been added amid encouraging action on the day before Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, Kinross Gold (NYSE:KGC) was shining as a majority of Leaderboard stocks traded higher Wednesday.
Markets are closed for the U.S. holiday Thursday and will open half a day on Friday, closing shop at 1 p.m. ET that day.
SCCO, gaining 3%, has been added as it rebounds off the 10-week moving average. It comes after it made stout gains from a cup base entry of 107.39. Southern Copper is one of the world's largest producers of the metal. Copper futures are rising again, and now are up 28% for the year. The equity was up more than 3% in recent trade.
Kinross Gold was the day's best performer among the Leaders as it rose more than 5%. It was getting further extended past a 23.86 buy point. Embraer (NYSE:EMBJ) was also having a good innings as it rallied 2%. The stock is rebounding above its 50-day moving average, a positive sign.
Globus Medical (NYSE:GMED), the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF (ARCA:XBI) and Howmet Aerospace (NYSE:HWM) were among other portfolio standouts with gains of around 1% each earlier in the day before gains faded.
GMED, which joined the Leaders list Monday as a half-size position, is dancing around the top of the 5% buy range from a 87.16 entry.
Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) struggled most with a 1% dip, but remains in a strong uptrend. Idexx Laboratories (NASDAQ:IDXX) also lagged, losing 1.4%.
