Introduction
I finished the watching and learning from the interview on this talk "ANC on the money: My money story". I like to apply my learning and see how many tiny leaks on those disposable expenses on 1999 credit card statements. I like to ask myself those $8000 dollars what are left after 20 years.
Case study
Case study is hard since I do not have ideas what to look into. I found out one hour ago I need to look into shopping addiction problem. One of ideas is to record what I spent on every invoice, and then track how often and how long I used them.
I recalled that I purchased so many items in clothing, kitchen stuff, tennis sports, I only used two or three times. I totally forgot them; Or I just threw them away when I ran out of space.
Those are my over $5000 dollars purchase in 1999. I paid cash 25 dollars for 45 minutes tennis lesson in Boca Raton tennis court in 1999. One instructor gave lesson to 8 students in the same time. I paid for the lesson for a few times. I also paid tennis court clay court $15.00 for 45 minutes.
I got into Bally gym contract but I only visited less than 10 times. I paid $45 dollars for a message, and then I paid $20 dollars for yoga class. But I did not spend effort to terminate the contract or dispute with credit card company, even I got laid off in 2001, I still paid the monthly fee until three year full terms.
Tiny leaks, I can enumerate those leaks every where.
