Introduction
I spent at least half hour to do a short research about layoffs since Coronavirus breakout, and there are so many people in the market, over 20,000 software engineer jobs are gone in less than one month. What happen if you could not find a software engineer job in next six months?

I came cross my first layoff back in Sept. 2001, and then I stayed at home from 2001 September until 2002 August. I did have some lessons to share even it is 18 years ago.
I do think that it is important for a person to develop good traits as a software engineer, a super talent engineer.
One thing I really like to advice is to work on Leetcode algorithm practice if you have few hours a day. Another thing is to really be realistic, and try to get some income to work part time or similar job. But since there are so many industries suffer job losses in the same time, and I do think that it is time for you to think about learning to be a trader in stock market when bear market and recession, learning to invest takes time in our life. We should start early, and start to learn basics. It is like you are a tennis sport player, professional player, you try to pick up another sport for a month or two.
It is also a good idea to study personal finance, and understand the basics about personal finance, frugal, minimalism. Do we have to have high paid software engineer jobs? Can you take low pay job and stay in the same industry as a software engineer or programmer.
