From nano to exascale, from big data to small robots and how they are converging in healthcare and energy Jeannette is Professor of Computer Science and Head of the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research interests focus on the science of security and privacy. She was or is on the editorial boards of 12 journals and has served on numerous advisory boards including those for Microsoft, the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, the National Academy of Sciences, Intel, and the Sloan Research Fellowships. Jeannette received the Computing Research Association Distinguished Service Award in 2011 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Association for Computing Machinery and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. She received her S.B., S.M., and Ph.D. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
