      • • Managing development of USD 12M+ R&D budget for multiple product lines in the Airline IT portfolio used by 100+ airlines generating USD 60M+ in revenues. Primary responsibilities include: - managing and providing leadership to 100+ team members across three global development centers with 8 direct reports (software engineering managers, technical product managers, software architect) - closely collaborating with product management and cross-functional teams (UI/UX, PMO, Operations Research -OR) - executing product roadmap (investment budget) and customer change requests (CRs) - improving SCRUM team productivity using tools, processes and metrics - ensuring quality and stability with release management best practices and extensive monitoring - driving cost efficiencies and speed to market by automating CI/CD pipeline - defining and executing technology transformation in partnership with Google. This involves migrating complex monolithic applications to GCP, Cloud SQL, containerization/GKE, REST API and Microservices architecture with a web front end
      • • Established an Activations, Implementations and Migrations (AIM) practice from ground up to improve speed to market, increase throughput, reduce cost and deliver better customer experience • Achieved cost reduction of >20% for eCommerce product suite and doubled the number of projects delivered from 2013 to 2014 • Formed a team of 50+ (Developers, Business Analysts, Testers) distributed across multiple locations and was instrumental in maturing and scaling the model across the broader product portfolio
      • • Responsible for the development of the internet booking engine (IBE) as a white-label community offering processing ~15M travel bookings annually. The solution powered 25+ airline websites globally generating in excess of USD 50M in revenue for the business • Led a team of 100+ people globally distributed across three locations to maintain, enhance and more importantly ensure high availability, high performance and scalability (transactions per second) • Key challenges included recruitment of 30+ positions across the three global development centers, filling senior roles and conducting a knowledge ramp up plan to deliver large customization work for airline cutovers under high pressure/strict timelines. • Demonstrated leadership in managing staff turnover, instituting solid planning, reporting and putting a robust process around performance testing, readiness reviews and deployment
      • • Managed development for multiple product lines (USD 125M+ in revenues) in Sabre's Travel Network business • Successfully managed the challenges of running highly global teams and diverse programs (Rail, Car, Cruise and Geo Services). The Rail team was entirely based off-shore in Krakow, Poland while the Cruise team was transitioned completely to Bangalore, India. Demonstrated the ability to manage remote teams to achieve program objectives
      • • Responsible for the Airport product suite that was one of the top revenue generating product lines in the Airline Solutions business that time • Delivered USD 12M in Revenue (a 9% YOY increase) and 5.6M (12% YOY increase) in gross income • Established co-marketing and technology partnership with Microsoft ISV Business Development group. Secured $400K in technology financial support from Microsoft accelerating product line strategy to modernize application architecture
      • Managed product development of three major product suites across globally distributed development centers with revenues in excess of USD 25MM. The largest team was based in Krakow, Poland with 25+ team members while the other centers (Los Angeles-CA, Southlake-TX, Malmo-Sweden, Bangalore-India) had anywhere from 5-15 employees • Responsible for a 60+ member highly distributed development team with eight direct reports that included two Managers, three Team Leads and three Architects • Execution of annual product investment budget to the tune of USD 6MM • Supported customer base of over 150 global airlines as both local and SaaS deployments • Implemented Agile Development Methodology – Extreme Programming across all teams to allow for rapid delivery of high quality solutions on time and budget
