Comparison with VBAL.To performance

March 26 2020

Introduction

It is my plan to set up a vanguard VBAL.TO ETF fund in my portfolio, so I can have to compare my own portfolio with bonds 50% and equities 50% to professional vanguard VBAL.To. Based on my data, VBAL.TO is 6% loss invested on May 2019, and my portfolio $60,000 Canadian dollars including this Feb. 6 2020 SPX highest 3300 $13,000 invest in equities also has similar result, 8% loss.

More detail

I like to provide detail as well.

Quick summary

I purchased near $5000 VBAL.TO in May 2019, and my market change on the asset is (7%); I also managed $60,000 dollars by myself to keep 50% bond, 50% equities, the market change is around *8%).

If I work hard on those days in big market swing days, then I should have sold all my VAB.TO at price $28.00 dollars, and then $2000 dollars realization of profit is possible. My performance will be much better compared to VBAL.TO.

Considering that if I am a good Christian with faith, I should spend more time on coronavirus back in February, 2020. I should avoid to purchase more equity, and sell all assets to stay sideline to avoid bear market crash.
