Parallel skiing is a great milestone when you first learn how to ski. When you are able to keep your skis parallel, you are no longer a beginner skier, but have transformed into an intermediate skier! Let's go! In this video, I share two effective keys to achieve a more parallel position on your skis. Each key is presented with a step-by-step progression, so you can learn these parallel skiing skills in a fast and safe manner. 0:27 The first key is to balance on your outside ski. This will liberate your inside ski, so it is no longer “locked” in a snow plough position. 2:31 The second key is to make an up and forward move to release the edges from the old turn and easily start the new turn with parallel skis. These two keys for parallel skiing have proven to be important and effective in transforming my students skiing from skiing in the snow plough to skiing with parallel skis. I hope it will work well for you too. Enjoy!
