Business opportunity - Canadian oil stock 60% up in less than one month

Introduction

I did study bear market and then learned a few things about bear market. When people panic sell, the market price usually goes too low, I should catch up the opportunity. My Canadian stock with $2000 dollar purchase went up 60% in less than one month, OVV.TO stock went up 120%. I need to look into my purchase March 27, 2020. Why I did not even think about selling all bond around $22,000 Canadian dollars to purchase those Canadian oil stocks.

Big gamble?

I have to learn that it is not risky and it is not gamble. I am not sure what it is. I purchased $13,000 dollars on SPX and another equity ETF in one day, highest position SPX 3300. If it is not gamble, then I should not treat $13,000 dollar purchase at lowest position SPX 2200 as a gamble.

I should treat those two transactions fairness.
