Case study: 60 shares BND ETF purchase

Introduction

It is the first transaction I did on Ameritrade in my IRA account. I purchased 60 share BND recently. I like to do a case study.

Ideas to work on 

I need to come out the portfolio for my IRA account. I need to put the fund into market. The growth fund has negative return in 2018. It is all time high in 10 years.

I need to work on short term, middle term and long term goal. One of ideas is to purchase some 10+ year growth fund. How to invest those money into the market?

I have to close stock account in Ameritrade since there is an issue for Canadian citizen. I own a home in United States, but I work full time in the city of Vancouver, Canada.
