Learn to be frugal in my 50s

Introduction

I made a purchase of home in the city of Yichun in 1999 with $10,000 us dollars, now it is 10 times more value, $100,000 US dollars, or $500,000 Chinese yuan. I like to find all expenses from 1999 to 2001, and I called it half a million dollar hunt. I like to learn to be frugal in my 50s.

How many ones?

I made net income $110,000 from 1998 December to 2001 October. So it is possible I can make purchase of 10 condos in my home town city of Yichun.

I cannot afford a one bedroom home in the city of Surrey or Cloverdale. I am 53 years old, and work full time 10 years in Canada. I only have Canadian saving around $60,000 dollars. It only can cover 20% one bedroom condo. But I could not get the loan with stress test for amount $200,000 dollars.
