I like to learn how to understand behavior interview, so I can go back to my daily work, and then try to apply those things at work.
This is a behavioral interview to gauge how well you will adapt in our environment. The questions will revolve around your past work and some of the challenging situations you’ve encountered. This interview is evaluating you on your leadership, maturity, and overall scope/technical depth of work.
- Motivations:
Aside from what your motives are, be ready to explain why. How have your motivations impacted your work?
- Conflict Resolution:
This is where you may be asked to discuss a disagreement. We want to understand your philosophy on tackling conflicts, thought process, and approach. Be clear on what the disagreement was, who was involved, how it was handled on your end, and what the end decision was.
- Empathy
The ability to understand your peers (especially in situations of disagreements) and work with them including people with more authority. How do you encounter 1-on-1’s with peers
- Growth:
Understanding how and what has contributed to your career growth. You may be asked to explain major mistakes you’ve learned from, or project failures, or risks you’ve taken that resulted in little to no impact.
- Dealing with Ambiguity
The ability to run with an initiative with limited information/resources. We’re looking to see how you’ve navigated your team through challenging situations and whether you could adapt in our unstructured (no red tape) environment
