How to start life with self-learner mindset?

Introduction

It is my personal finance research. I learned the mistake I made on personal finance, I did not spend time to work on my USA 401 K and retirement account from 2009 to Jan. 2019. I like to work on a short research how to start life with self-learner mindset.

Challenges

I like to figure out why I am afraid to learn something by myself. How to start life with self-learner mindset?

It is important for me to learn that knowledge is power. If I like to live a rich and wealth life, I should spend time early to invest myself to learn how to do a good research, work on money, personal finance, investment and behavior economics study. I should start early, and work on so many things early and build over at least 10 years experience.
