Introduction
It is a beginner's common mistake. I set up my portfolio at SPX 2900 in May 2019, and when SPX was lowest position of 2200 on March 20, 2020, I was worried about loss over $4000 dollars from highest point. After two months, I worried about stock will fully recover, I rushed in and made purchase with gains over 10% in two days, and in a few day with 30% loss.
My portfolio - Key largo June 5 June 8 2000 SPX 3200 - $7000 return in 2 years
My action plan
I plan to sell VDU position to make sure that cash position has $6890, make portfolio stable.
I can work on SABR or ENBL positions to sell high and purchase low. If I can tell that the stock market will go down in the same day, I can sell the position when it is high, and then purchase back when it is low at the end of day.
I do not want to time the market, buy high and sell low.
