Why I am a trader not an investor?

 Dec. 17, 2020

Introduction

It is hard for me to review my purchase history. I definitely was a trader since I totally missed big gains of those stocks over 50% near 100% return, GE, PK, NCLH and more.

A trader not an investor

I like to be a good thinker and can understand how business works. I do think that it is ok for me to learn from my own mistake, do not risk to lose over 50% of my capital. I am 54 year old and I work hard to save those $15,000 US dollars, and over 20 years I only have $5000 dollars gains. I think that finance education is so important for me to learn.

I do not know the value of growth fund, and I do not check my asset last 10 years, and now I was in the market, but I was a trader not an investor. But I am getting better.

GE stock - my purchase. Here is the blog.

PK stock - my blog is here

NCLH stock - my blog is here

KSS stock - my blog is here

I want to be an investor

It is not difficult to be an investor. I think that I should take some risk, and learn how to analyze and stay confident to hold those distressed stocks until there is big gain. Hold more than one stocks, if one of them has 100% gains, then I know that it is time to sell.
