- You didn’t have an answer to a question, and asked for another question You didn’t prepare the failure stories; Up to five proper failures for senior roles You knew the answers to many of the questions by heart, but got some new ones on which you blocked You repeated the same story twice or more; They take notes which they later confront You prepare the answers on paper, but did not role-play enough so your performance was so-so You thought your answers were great, but couldn’t really understand why they were asking you those questions in the first place; e.g. The leadership principles You gave poor answers: one or more hypothetical answers, impossible to quantify, Too short, Too long, You forgot the results, Maybe they were boring, Excel vs narrative, You praised them too much,Stubbornness You blocked when you got asked some tough questions from the bar raiser You were negative You lacked energy / curiosity / engagement
My notes:
failure stories -
Never memorize the stories - same stories over and over again. You do not have diversified experience on the job.
Great answer for any question on behavior.
Written answer/ Speak to yourself / speak to coach / written answer/ other things/
Why they ask you those questions in the first place?
Prepare for those type questions - tailor those questions.
Give poor answers - hypothetical - too long or too short or stubborn - do not listen very well.
Good or great answer
More Excel like answer - or narrative
